Some Interesting facts about SVPNPA 


SVPNPA - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, is the premier police training institution in India. In this blog, we will see some interesting facts about SVPNPA.

Founding and Inauguration: The foundation stone for SVPNPA was laid on September 15, 1948, by India's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and it was formally inaugurated on October 15, 1949, by the then Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.





Role in Training: SVPNPA is the apex training institution for IPS officers and is responsible for providing induction and in-service training to officers of various ranks in the Indian Police Service (IPS).




Academic Excellence: The academy has been recognized for its excellence in training and was awarded the President's Colour in 1968 for its outstanding contributions to police training.

Martyrs' Column: The academy features a "Martyrs' Column" dedicated to police officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The column serves as a poignant reminder of their bravery and sacrifice.

The UPSC civil services exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India. On average, candidates take more than 2 attempts to clear this exam.   Unveiling the Journey of IAS Anudeep Durishetty: A Tale of Grit and Achievement Anudeep Durishetty, an IRS officer hailing from Telangana failed three times in his pursuit of the prestigious IAS. But he did not give up on his dream and worked harder than before in his fifth attempt to become a UPSC topper. Durishetty first attempted the IAS exam in 2012.
